Customer ship and professional dialogue
As a nursing student, how do you build trust with patients? I believe the most important things are patience, open communication, avoiding discussing uncertainties with patients, consistency between words and actions, honesty and trustworthiness, and, importantly, listening. Actively inquire about the patient‘s needs and try your best to meet them. Every patient is a unique individual, and it’s essential to respect eachperson‘s background and culture. Open communication with the patient’s family is alsocrucial; when family members inquire about the patient‘s condition, you need to provideprofessional answers。
In nursing, the concepts of power and trust are closely intertwined. Nurses possess a certain degree of power through their knowledge and authority, but this power is balanced with the trust patients place in them. We must use these powers correctly, and at the same time, we must be responsible for our actions. This dynamic relationship requires nurses to exercise power ethically and responsibly to enhance patients‘ confidence; simultaneously, a strong nurse-patient relationship built on trust is crucial for effective care, leading to better outcomes for patients’ conditions and treatments。
As a professional nurse, your emotions are extremely important, as they will affect yourentire day's work. When you're at your post, never bring your personal emotions into your work. In nursing, you'll encounter many different scenarios, requiring strongadaptability from a professional nurse. When communicating with patients, you mustlisten attentively to their thoughts, understand their meaning, and then perform yournursing duties.
Finland now has a large immigrant population from various countries. As a professional nurse, you must respect the cultural background, language, and customs of patients from different countries.
Cultural communication
When interacting with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, what factors do I consider? These include language, religion, and nationality. As professional nurses, fluent English is essential. If language barriersarise, translation software can be used sometimes. Nurses need to understand the patient’s background to provide better treatment.
If a nurse cannot understand a client's cultural perspective, they should actively research relevant cultural information or consult colleagues to see how others handle such situations.
If my client is 50 years old and their cultural background is tradition, and they don't want to work anymore, feeling too old and wanting to retire, I would encourage them. In Finland, the retirement age is generally around 64, and 50 is too young to retire. They can cultivate hobbies outside of work and maintain good health.

Patricia benner´s theory
Patricia Benner's theory, often referred to as the "novice-to-expert" model, describes how nurses acquire clinical skills and knowledge through experience, going through five stages: novice, advanced novice, competent, skilled, and expert.
Social media
Social media connects nurses with peers, mentors, and healthcare leaders around the world, breaking down geographical barriers. In today's world, people are gluedto their phones, accessing information anytime, anywhere. It has brought immense convenience to people's lives. I live in Kokkola, and I can find everydepartment in my local hospital on Instagram, along withtheir contact information. They promote their departments through photos and videos.
Criteria of service
•The standards for quality nursing care: What constitutes quality nursing care? In Finland, everyone has entitled to qualitynursing care. As a nurse, one must treat all patients equally, providing the best service and treatment to everypatient, fundamentally addressing their concerns, anxieties, and fears. This includes creating a positive medicalenvironment for patients and meticulously following every step of the nursing process. Nurses and doctors worktogether to develop treatment plans for patients, from diagnosis to recovery. If a patient has objections to a particular treatment procedure, they can file a complaint with the relevant authorities.
Ethics
Nursing ethics deals with ethical issues related to healthcare and patient treatment, and its core principles include respect for patient dignity, autonomy, and equitable treatment. Ethics guides professionals in providing quality care and is supported by laws, ethical guidelines, principles, and professional ethics that guide professionals in their behaviour in patient care, the application of professional skills, and interactions with colleagues.
As a nurse, it is essential to adhere to the principles of fairness, transparency, and impartiality in treating every patient. Patience and positive encouragement are crucial for patients' cooperation with treatment. Maintaining a good relationship with patients' families is also vital. Promptly informing patients' families of the progress of their condition and the doctor's next steps is essential.
